Brandon Castillo brings extensive experience directing issues management and public affairs campaigns on behalf of a broad range of clients. Particularly, Mr. Castillo specializes in developing and implementing legislative and ballot proposition campaign strategies, third-party ally recruitment, and grassroots mobilization and advocacy. Having worked in the public affairs arena for more than a decade, Mr. Castillo has developed expertise in such disparate areas as local government finance and the state budget, electric utility deregulation, transportation, education, housing, insurance, gaming, health care and the environment. He is currently involved in a number of high-profile legislative issue campaigns, providing strategic counsel and coordinating grassroots and coalition activities. On the ballot measure front, Mr. Castillo has been involved in dozens of initiative campaigns and has better than a 95% success rate. His recent California campaigns include:
Mr. Castillo has received several recognitions for his work, including being awarded two "Pollies" from the American Association of Political Consultants. Before forming Bicker, Castillo & Fairbanks, Brandon was a Manager of Public Affairs for Burson-Marsteller. He is a former VP of the Sacramento/Placer Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Mr. Castillo graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Government. He is fluent in Spanish.
